Who we are

St. John's is a mountain parish of the Episcopal Church serving the communities of Granby, Grand Lake, Tabernash, Hot Sulphur Springs, and Winter Park, Colorado.  In addition to our Granby Colorado church, we operate and maintain a chapel in Winter Park Colorado for those living or visiting there.  As a resort community, we welcome full-time, seasonal, and visiting worshipers.

The Episcopal Church in Grand County is comprised of three religious communities dedicated to God and rooted in the compassionate and hospitable traditions of The Episcopal Church: St. John’s in Granby, Cranmer Chapel in Winter Park, and Trinity in Kremmling. We honor the vast possibilities of human self-expression and the infinite variety of God’s creation. We celebrate diversity in gender, age, culture, ethnicity, sexuality, profession, language, and other facets of human identity, and value the gifts that each individual brings to the whole.

Mindful of God’s limitless grace and our salvation in Christ Jesus, we believe there are no outcasts from God’s table. We strive to embrace those who have been rejected elsewhere, as well as those who have not yet found a spiritual home, and to make our community an inclusive reflection of the diversity of God’s creation.

We affirm our commitment to participating in God’s plan for the reconciliation of all humanity through Christ Jesus. Whether you are a first-time visitor or long-time member, please know that we are pleased to have you here and appreciate your interest in all that St. John's has to offer.

There are many ways to engage in the life and community of St. John's and we hope you will find something that will spark your interest, deepen your relationship with God in Christ, and develop our fellowship.  We hope that your time at St. John's will also enrich your life in the ways you need so that you may participate in the incredible gift of the Good News of God's love in Christ.
